Everything in the World begins with an idea. Our idea was to help students to realise their wish and become students of Faculty of architecture first and then the architects. Do not think that success is guaranteed immediately. There is no such thing! If you want your dreams to become true and if you would like to fulfil your expectations, you should strive for success and a lot of time will be needed including drawing, observing, learning … and many sleepless nights, amusing or not, but you will get used to it, especially later, when you will become a successful architect.
The Naris Team was founded by three students of Faculty of architecture in 2002. Two of them had already led a course of architectural drawing in Koper. Boštjan was the one who planned the team. Today he is the president of this team and he has also made its foundation and registration possible.
Our intention was above all an organisation of a quality course of drawing for entrance examination to Faculty of architecture under the direction of students, who meet with the process of “learning” architecture daily and who are beside professors well qualified to pass the knowledge that is necessary for the entrance examination. Our members did it few years ago so the memory is still alive. As students realised what they could do differently, or better, what do professors want, what they are looking for, what they estimate, and of course, which are those little secrets that ease drawing at least a bit. We also want to spread these courses around Slovenia so that everybody could take a part. With this we save up some time for students who do not have a lot of time and they cannot come to Ljubljana. At the same time we want to prove that these courses can be as well as or even more successful as those in Ljubljana.
These two ideas were set up as the basis at the initial session of The Naris Team on 22nd April 2002. We continued with registration of The Naris Team on 4th July 2002 at Statistical office of Slovenian Republic. On 3rd September we registered Working duplicated lecture notes for the course of architectural drawing Naris at Copyright agency for Slovenia, which was renovated and adapted to execution course in two semesters, so there are two duplicated notes for the course. We did all this because we wanted to offer you more.
We started with three members and through years, it has become a big company of many students of Faculty of architecture, but we are still looking for a new power and new ideas … You know, two heads are better than one.
In spite of the modest beginning in Koper in the year 2000, the course of architectural drawing today is expanded in Ljubljana, Maribor, Celje, Kranj, Novo Gorica, Novo mesto, Velenje, Slovenj Gradec, Ljutomer and Ptuj. Our wishes are of course wider, namely we want courses to be in every training centre.
Teachers in individual places are being introduced to our web page, there are also hours and dates of the course, programme and many other interesting things … There are also novelties which we prepare every year. They always bring something new, fresh ideas, elaboration of course, also awards.
We are realising everything with subvention of our loyal sponsors. On this occasion we would like to thank them and we are inviting them to further cooperation.
Experiences come by years, new possibilities, ideas, new programme, everything for you, so that we will see each other one day at the Faculty of architecture, or maybe we will cooperate one day.
