Through the development it turned out that one course is not enough, so in the team we changed it. Now there are two parts, I. and II. Semester (as one class in the faculty is divided into) which should be successful in the whole- involving learning, knowledge, repeating, strengthening, exercises, getting to know the architecture … Each individual semester is conducted by duplicated lecture notes for the course where there is the subject which is explained in details, drawn step by step, there are procedures and guidelines of drawing and also some theory, history of architecture and architects.
In the first semester students are introduced to the bases of drawing, perspective, horizon, square and cube in perspective, conical and cylindrical construction, intersectional method, composition, line … The programme is planned in the way that you learn all you need for the next semester and it is a base for it. Everything that is mentioned is presented in duplicated lecture notes for the course of the I. semester. It also gives you the review of the World history of architecture from beginning to the modern age and some well-known architects are presented in it.
The second semester is a logical continuation of the first one and in the first three hours you repeat some important things from the first semester and then you go to the next level where a more global knowledge is required which is creatively used in further drawing. This is the base of the use of intersectional method and learning how to sight, and the necessary combination of both, of course at drawing more pretentious objects. Participants can learn about a perspective in an interior, a street, a square, a composition, tasks of spatial notion, Escher … The course is supplemented by a duplicated lecture notes for this course, where are examples of pictures with a repetition of methods of drawing, and also examples of learning, how should the picture looks like. It ends by a survey of Slovenian architecture and architects, and with an applied literature.
Both semesters of the course include the whole, which is necessary for the entrance examination, therefore we recommend you to visit the both semesters of the course. They are based on learning, strengthening and exercises by professional supervision. This is our formula gained through years. It should make great possibilities for acceptance into the Faculty of architecture for students.
