Entrance examination for the Faculty of Architecture

The Faculty of architecture invites tenders for university study programme. There are 120 places for a full-time study and 45 places for a part-time study. They offer the same but there is a difference in payment and in manner of selecting candidates. At full-time study first 120 student are selected, considering their success, and they have to pass an ability test positively (at least 21 points). At part-time study there are chosen first 45 candidates, considering their number of points. The ability test is obligatory. The results for entry are known the last week in July, and at the same time eventual free places. In this case the second registration is possible. Everyone, who has delivered the first registration, can register again.
THE COURSE OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR THE FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE

The ability test is in the last week in June and it includes:

A Writing test (1st day):

Drawing an arbitrary object
Solving tasks of spatial notion
Escher
An arithmetic task
Drawing bodies given with ground plan and elevation
A compositional picture, a picture by memory

B Oral test (2nd day):

It includes different questions, that depend on a professor, where the student is assigned to. They look for:

motives and emotionally resemblance to architecture,
a casualness in talk
a comprehending of environment (culture, general occurring, place, form … )
an objectivity (of evaluation of place, of attitudes, of circumstances … )
a desire of changes or innovations (correction of circumstances or of attitudes)
an imagination or wealth of ideas (at proposals of interventions or of changes)
an ability for searching new ways (or treatments)
perhaps an authenticity (in introducing conceptions)
an organisation (in narrative or drawing notion)
a sense for essence
a criticism to world of shapes, to developmental occurrences, to processes in culture

Every element is being marked. The highest number of points is 10. Candidates get notification at home. In the autumn exam term there is a reserve date for the ability test.
